Using SMS to Log into NHSMail

This short guide explains how to use SMS authentication to log into NHSMail (assuming enrolment has been completed).

Follow the steps below to sign in to NHSMail with MFA using SMS Authentication:

  1. Navigate to https://portal.nhs.net/
  2. Click "Login"

  1. Enter your account details and click "Sign in"

  1. When logging in to https://portal.nhs.net/, an SMS message will be sent to the configured phone number containing a 6 digit code. Enter the code into the 'Verification Code' field and press 'Sign In'.

  1. Providing the code is correct, you will now be signed into your NHSMail account successfully.
